An enchanted clearing that arranges itself around whoever arrives. The fireflies come out a little earlier for a nervous guest, the moss grows softer where somebody sat down, and the path lights one stone at a time so nobody has to know the whole way before they start walking. Nothing here asks you to be impressive. It is the only Realm made for the moment before you belong anywhere.

Warm, quiet, expecting you
- The fire is always slightly larger than the number of people sitting at it.
- Someone has left a blanket over the back of a chair that is not theirs.
- The path in is lit the whole way. The path out is lit too.
Noticed, not explained
- No fren has been turned away, including the ones who arrived twice.
- The hearth has never been rebuilt, and it has never been cold.
How frens change here
Traits soften. Sharp things a fren brought from elsewhere become gentler here without becoming weaker.
Frens make room. Arrivals are met by residents shifting sideways before being asked, and nobody treats this as remarkable.
